A truly magnanimous yet anonymous force, she counters every blow with a practiced ferocity. All Fires must be extinguished eventually and so did hers. As the light around her dimmed, her family prospered with an aura of divine light around them. At last knowing she’s done her best, the cat fades away, leaving her family with love, light and protection.
With a new house come new stressors and new stressors attract malicious energies that feeds on the psychological, mental and physical weaknesses of the family. But worry not! There is always a guardian angel to look over them. And in this case it’s their pet cat. But can she defend herself and her family against the greedy claws of this negative energy? Will she emerge victorious without any lasting damages? Only one way to find out.

For this project I wanted to experiment with Paper cut out, semi-3D animation and textures. I started looking at films made with similar animation styles.
“Visual Style”
The style of this film is inspired by Barcelona based illustrator Júlia Sardà. I came across her illustrations through Pinterest while working on another project. Her work caught my interest and I bought a few of her illustrated books like ‘The Liszts’ (2016) and ‘Mary who wrote Frankenstein’ (2018). When the time came to decide a style and medium for this film, my mind immediately went to her works. Her impeccable attention to details, use of textures, well balanced compositions and unique perspectives is what drew me to her works.

I started off by designing the backgrounds using intricate patterns and angles.
The set is made using different kinds of paper based stationary like hand-made papers, cartridge sheets, cardboards etc. It is hand painted with poster paints. The size of each artwork is A3.
For this project I aimed at experimenting with textures, patterns and compositions.

He is old school in his ways and is a businessman by profession. He was born in 1983 and is a 38 year old healthy middle-aged man. He isn’t very athletic nor overweight. He has a tired worn-out posture.
